A foreign man and a young Cambodian woman were involved in a violent confrontation, outside a Phnom Penh condo.
According to a report from the Ministry of Interior, on the morning of April 23, 2025, on April 21, 2025 at 5:30 a.m., there was a violent incident at a condo, Street 78, Tonle Bassac Sangkat, Chamkar Mon District, between a Chinese man named WEI JIN JING and a Cambodian woman named Chhai Leang Hour.
After the violent incident, Tonle Bassac Police Station arrested both parties and took them to the Tonle Bassac Police Station and the Chamkar Mon Police Inspectorate.
According to the answers of both parties, this violent incident was a minor misunderstanding.
Then, both parties asked the authorities to mediate and end the matter without further lawsuits.
At the same time, the authorities asked the higher authorities to provide educational guidance and make a contract to prevent further cases of violence, and allowed them to return.
